Art In Education

Vision Works Expand the universe of your students, and enrich their educational development. Invite a dynamic author/poet/publisher to engage them in a journey of discovery. Vision Works conducts leadership and empowerment workshops/residencies for students on all grade levels, including special education. A consultation insures all activities are age appropriate, and cater to the needs of your students/event. Workshops are 45 minutes, and a minimum booking of two consecutive 45 minute sessions is required.

Residencies are offered three times per week over a twelve week period and include dance, music, theater, language art/social studies components. Our interactive programs foster confidence, diversity/cultural awareness, community and achievement for students, parents and teachers alike. Most of all students leave the experience with skills they can utilize over the course of a lifetime.

In addition authors can also be booked for motivational speaking engagements, graduations, poetry readings, parent development seminars, and panel discussions, Due to high demand, reservations should be booked at least two months in advance to insure the date is reserved for your special event. As a gift each workshop participant receives an
original poem related to the topic being addressed.

Invite Mutiya Vision, Poet, and Children’s Book Author to your school for an intimate conversation, and reading of her poetry and/or story books. This workshop is individualized so that it is age and content appropriate. For example, an “ If Only I Could Presentation” can include: the making of the book; examples of the original artwork, and/or a read-aloud and in-depth discussion.
